Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
What is InWorld School?
InWorld School is an online platform offering language learning and cultural exploration through digital courses and live classes led by native-speaking instructors.
Who can enroll in InWorld School courses?
Our courses are open to students of all ages, from children as young as 8 to adults. Designed for beginners, our courses help learners start speaking a new language quickly and effectively.
What languages do you offer?
We currently offer courses in English, Korean, Spanish, and French.
What is the structure of your courses?
Our courses begin with a beginner-friendly digital curriculum consisting of 28 units. Each unit focuses on practical, everyday words and phrases organized by topics, while incorporating InWorld's proven methodology for improving pronunciation. When learners are ready to put their skills into practice, they can join live small-group classes led by native teachers, where they can further develop their language abilities alongside peers.
How do the live classes work?
Live classes are held online in small groups of up to 5 students, led by native-speaking instructors in interactive and engaging sessions.
Are group lessons divided by age?
Yes, we group students by age: children (10-12), teens, and adults. Small class sizes ensure that each student receives the support they need, whether they’re new to the language or seeking enrichment.
Are makeup classes available for missed classes?
No, makeup classes are not offered for live group sessions. However, you can cancel or reschedule a class up to 24 hours in advance.
How long does it take to complete the beginner digital course?
The time to complete the course depends on your starting point and learning pace.
- If you have some basics of the language and dedicate 30 minutes to 1 hour daily, you can finish the 28 units and practice items in about a month.
- If you are new to the language and prefer to learn at a slower, steady pace—rewatching lesson videos and redoing practice resources—you can expect to have basic conversation skills within 3 to 6 months.
Is this program appropriate for homeschool students?
Yes! InWorld School is an excellent extracurricular activity for homeschool students. It helps them expand their horizons, build language skills, and connect with peers globally. Please note, this is not an accredited program and should be considered supplemental.
Can siblings share one subscription?
Yes, siblings and parents in the same household can share access to the digital course. However, only one person is allowed to join the live group lessons.
Does my course renew automatically?
Yes, if you signed up for a monthly subscription, it will renew automatically. However, the 6-month subscription and live group lesson purchases do not renew automatically.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, if the program doesn’t meet your expectations, you can request a 100% refund by emailing us at info@inworldschool.com within one week of your purchase.
How do I know the instructors are qualified?
All instructors undergo a rigorous selection process, hold relevant certifications, and have proven teaching experience.
What equipment do I need for the courses?
You’ll need a computer or tablet with a stable internet connection, a webcam, and a microphone for live classes.
